It’s that time of the month again. Blog time. Just joking, just joking.

I think I spoke a little to soon on the season. I was injured. No worries. Although
this has been quite a setback, I refuse to let it get me down. I had a torn labrum.
A lot of you guys are probably like what the?!

What is it you ask?

It is piece of cartilage that holds the femur (thigh bone) into the acetabular rim  (Just a fancy word for the hip socket)--for all of you Operation Gamers by Milton Bradley. It hindered me
from running with power like I've always known how to do for about a good year now. A little bit more about
it, it’s kinda hard to diagnose. I was having some really decent practices and
good performances in terms of sprinting, tempos, and even raced decent. Then, one day I was having a
lot of trouble walking correctly after practices and hinging after long runs. So, I
got an MRI and sure enough, the was a problem.

I just got out of surgery 15 weeks ago and I am off the crutches and brace. The first weeks were grizzly though. I couldn't do a lot without the assistance of my family (even sitting down-- Ill let you think about that one).

Throughout the whole process: I went from the mindset of where is my life going--- to--- Ok, Ok.... I got this.  Sitting in bed, not being able to walk was very humbling experience. Not to mention that I don't do well with a anesthesia (and a sweet epidural). This ranged from me waking up from surgery trying to wrestle the nurse---to--not being able to know if you had to pee until the point of exit.Anyhow...

Boom! Now I am up and running with no pain in the hip and looking to catch everybody when they come back from the break and stay on the machine called the BOOTY BLASTER. Fo' real, thats what its called... Glute activation exercises and general strength is what going on now. Soon, Ill be back to normal. So, I am pumped.

I had my surgery at one of the best places in the world- The Steadman
Hawkins clinic. Some of the more noteworthy athletes that have gone through that particular facility:—Alex Rodriguez, Priest Holmes, Mario Lemieux, Nick Willis, Tyson gay. So, I am
in good company.

I like to bring this message to my friends and family with a BIG Thanks. Thank
you for all of the support and lets get it going!

Congrats to everybody at the USA Championships and a great world championships. Some of the more notable
performances include my teammates Shannon and Leo. The Austin Track Club sent two athletes to the World Championships this summer in Daegu, South
Korea.

Furthermore, it looks like I have some obstacles and work cut out for me the next
year. Getting to the starting line is not going to be easy. Knowing that I should be
out there with the best of them is hard. But...

I am ready.

Ciao,
