Back in 2008 the University of Texas had one of the most dominant middle distance squad we've seen in a while. That year the Texas men set the world record indoors for the DMR, had three national champs (indoor mile, outdoor 800, 1500), multiple sub-4 milers and an Olympian (Leo Manzano). Deep in the Flotrack archives we found an old workout that never aired with the group that was so dominant. Check it out and look back at one of the best squads was doing to prepare for a great outdoor season.

Workout:
- 4 mile tempo on track
- 100-120-140-160-180-200 (starting at 15 secs and add 2 secs each interval)
- hurdle drills
(four lap jog between tempo and intervals)

Check out a great hill workout with this group back in 2008. This was the start of the Workout Wednesday series.
